The only hotel that I self selected was our hotel in London - although, I did find it from the Rick Steves' London Guidebook. I did like all of the hotels and would recommend them. I will say that The Bonham in Edinburgh is probably a little more upscale that I would probably stay if I was traveling on my own - but it was a very nice place to rest your head.
All the hotels were in good locations and had nice options for breakfast each morning.

Pre-Tour London Hotel
For our London portion, we stayed at The Sumner Hotel. This little family run hotel was located a few blocks from the Marble Arch. This gave us easy access to buses and the Tube. I found this hotel via some travel books and they had reasonable prices. I booked directly through the hotel by email.

Edinburgh Hotel
|
Our hotel for all Edinburgh portions of our trip was The Bonham Hotel. We stay here an extra day pre- and post-tour.
Since we stayed here twice, we had two different rooms. Our first room was huge! The second room was much more of a moderate size. Both rooms were very nice. The first room had a nice view out the back of the property while the second overlooked the street. |
Near Kenmore Hotel
We were in the town of Dunkeld for the second portion of our trip, staying at the Dunkeld House Hotel.
The room was very nice sized with a large window that we could open at night to get a nice breeze. The bathroom was a very nice size. The grounds of this hotel were really something to behold and they had a nice breakfast. |

Inverness Hotel
|
The hotel in Inverness was the Glenmoriston Townhouse Hotel.
This was the quirkiest of all the hotels. We had a nice room on the third floor with plenty of space and nice little view. The bathroom was quite large, but the toilet needed to be pumped in order to flush properly. The people running the hotel were very nice and it was a great stay. |
Oban Hotel
The final hotel of our trip was the Glenburnie House in Oban.
I liked this place the best and would love to spend more time here. The family running this small B&B was so nice and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were a good size with recent updates to the bathrooms. Everything was just very charming. |
